Amy Elmore is an intuitive painter who uses acrylic paint and ink to create rich, vibrant pieces. Her mother is also a painter so she grew up regularly going to museums and was surrounded by the process of making art. Amy has lived in many different parts of the country and has worked with lots of different art materials over the years. She has been married for 30 years to a very patient man and has a daughter in college.

Her paintings come from memories and there are several layers under each painting to achieve feeling, depth and movement. She uses bold colors to depict the beauty of North Carolina. She believes color can have a very healing effect on the mind and body. She has always found looking at art deeply cathartic and is thrilled to finally make creating it a priority.

Opening night will feature live music by Mark Wells, snacks, and both spirited and non-spirited beverages for you to enjoy while exploring the artwork.
