Samm Quiser is the co-owner and operations lead of Fusion Gallery, where she helps oversee the systems, programming, and day-to-day infrastructure that keep the space running smoothly and sustainably.

As both an artist and entrepreneur, Samm plays a central role in shaping Fusion’s welcoming, hands-on environment. She manages many of the behind-the-scenes processes that support the gallery’s exhibitions, classes, artist relationships, inventory systems, and financial operations while also contributing creatively to the evolution of the space itself.

Samm is especially passionate about creating accessible opportunities for people to explore art without intimidation or perfectionism. Through workshops, community events, and collaborative programming, she helps foster an environment where curiosity, experimentation, and connection are encouraged.

Her work combines creativity with practical problem-solving, helping transform Fusion from a traditional gallery into an active community art space built around participation, learning, and support for local artists.

Alexa Kapoor is the co-owner and strategic lead behind Fusion Gallery, a community-centered arts space in downtown Durham focused on making creativity more accessible, collaborative, and sustainable.

With a background in entrepreneurship, community development, and nonprofit operations, Alexa helps lead Fusion’s growth across exhibitions, classes, artist partnerships, events, and long-term business strategy. Since co-founding the gallery, she has helped grow Fusion into a multidisciplinary creative hub supporting dozens of local artists and hundreds of students through hands-on workshops and community programming.

Alexa’s work centers on building systems and spaces that allow artists and creative businesses to thrive — blending artistic vision with sustainable infrastructure, inclusive programming, and community connection. Her broader interests include creative placemaking, small business ecosystems, and the intersection of arts, entrepreneurship, and real estate development.

She studied International Affairs at Northeastern University with a focus on social entrepreneurship and community systems, and brings that interdisciplinary perspective into Fusion’s mission and long-term vision for Durham’s creative future.
